Year 11 are starting to work on the topic of the holidays. To start with I would recommend that you work on your tenses, this will help you relate your previous holiday, how you feel about it, what was the place like and where you may go next year. The best place to revise tenses is on Languagesonline- Click on French then Grammar and then work your way through the different tenses.
When you talk about your holidays you need to describe the weather. You can learn some of the vocabulary relating to the weather here: http://www.bonjourdefrance.com/n11/meteo.html
Year 11 were given the following task:
1) Regardez le bulletin météo http://meteo.france3.fr/bulletin.php
2) Write a list of sentences on the weather that you can hear
3) Write down the weather forecast for Saturday in French.
At first Year 11 found the listening very fast and did not think that they would be able to cope with it but after a while they were able to impress me with some very accurate sentences.
Next lesson, we will read the weather forecasts and pretend to be weather forecasters. You can find maps of France here
